Birmingham v Barnsley - 24/09/2011

SuggestionOddBookmakerStake
Birmingham 1.82 betfair 10

My main suggestions for this weekend. If it is a winner, then September will be profitable probably, else it will be the first month in loss. A lot of stake in this one...

Stats from betfair:

  • Birmingham have won their last five home league games v Barnsley but lost a home playoff tie to the Tykes 4-0 during that period.
  • Birmingham have thrown away eight points from winning positions this season, more than any other side in the Championship.
  • Barnsley have conceded a league low two goals after half-time.

Birmingham's home form:

Birmingham 1-3 Braga
Birmingham 3-0 Millwall
Birmingham 3-0 Nacional
Birmingham 1-0 Coventry
Birmingham 0-2 Fulham
Birmingham 1-1 Wolves

Barnsley's away form:

Millwall 0-0 Barnsley
Reading 1-2 Barnsley
Nottm Forest 0-0 Barnsley
Sheff Utd 2-2 Barnsley
Watford 1-0 Barnsley
Middlesbrough 1-1 Barnsley

  2. Yes! GO! By the way, what's your opinion about Gijon v Santander?

  3. Well, I guess Sporting have the biggest chances to get a win, maybe more than 50%. Value over 2.0... maybe not a lot, but value anyway.

  4. Thanks a lot! I believe the Spanish Primera Division is one of the two best championships in the world, along with the English Premier league. That makes my life difficult, because almost every team is competitive (for places 3 and below, if we exclude Real and Barca). So many matches are unpredictable. Of course, I don't have to worry about that. I have my algorithms to worry about such things :)

  5. Yes, Premier and Liga are now a step ahead of Scudetto (and others). By the way, since Sporting are playing Barça next week, I guess they will give everything to get a tomorrow... ChatNoir

  6. Well, I guess that's it! My first month in loss... I hope that the loss was due to the beggining of most leagues and that October will be better.

  7. September in loss and august virtually in loss, in fact. Except people following you before June, for the rest of us this blog is not profitable at all... it is my fault, we see 30% ROI in June/July and start following the bets, very bad policy since bad results come sooner than later...

  8. Virtually maybe is not the right word, since August was slightly profitable, but I understand what you are saying and you are right. However, I keep records of every match and its you that decide to follow my FREE suggestions or not. I 'm not paid to give suggestions. Actually I have received 0 euros from this blog. Every suggestion here is completely free. Its your decision after all. Thanks for following me though and sorry for your losses.

  9. I said virtually in loss because you use the highest odds after the match for calculations, people following you cannot always take the highest one so August is no profit for followers almost for sure.
That said, yes, of course, your picks are free and are very good indeed and it is our responsibility to follow. Thank you

  10. Ok, that's true, but to be honest, I don't remember the last time I changed the odds to better and when I did I surely wrote a note ("odds will change" or something like that). But of course August was also a bad month, since my goal is to make "good" profit and not "slight" profit, or loss of course. Thank you for your constructive comments! That's what I want; your participation.

  11. Fully agree, I am happy you take my comments as constructive, just wanted to write my frustration for losing money with such a fantastic blog, what I meant is that bad times come even for the best ones, and you are one of the best tipsters I follow, and I follow a lot... Betting is not a science and luck counts a lot, I watched Gijon match for instance and they should have won 9 out of 10 times that game... Thank you for your positive aim.
